Job summary

cargo-partner GmbH in Basildon is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to enhance our operations. The successful candidate will perform essential tasks such as pick and pack activities, loading and unloading trailers, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills in writing and speaking.
• Counter balance/VNA certification is a plus; training available.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform pick and pack activities.
• Load and unload trailers/containers.
• Maintain WMS and report customer concerns.
• Adhere to health and safety policies.

We are now recruiting for experienced Warehouse Operatives to join our growing team! This opportunity is will best suit a reliable, hardworking, warehouse operative that is looking to advance their warehouse skills/knowledge and be recognised for their business contribution.

What you will do:

• Perform pick and pack activities
• Loading and unloading trailers/containers
• Using and maintaining WMS
• Interact with drivers and customers, handle problems and report customer concerns immediately
• Be an advocate for all company health and safety policies & accident processes
• Contributes ideas on ways to reduce warehouse costs and increase productivity
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment
• Participates in quality improvement efforts
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

Desired skills/experience:

• Good written & oral communication skills
• Counter balance/VNA certification (within 3 year ideally) however open to training
• Familiarity of shipping practices and handling methods
• Employee is frequently required to walk, or stand long periods and must be able to lift
• Ability to type and operate a computer along with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, along with managing daily emails
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow and meet daily deadlines
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
• At least 1 year warehouse experience
• Experience with AS400 system is a plus
