Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Skelmersdale is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to lead a busy, 4-on 4-off operation. The role offers a £37,000 base pay with a premium for night shifts, and a permanent full-time contract.

You will drive productivity, champion safety, coach teams, and contribute to continuous improvement while working within a fast-moving site. This is a critical leadership position at a large global logistics provider with opportunities to develop people and processes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of your shift's warehouse activities, supporting operational leaders by overseeing performance, tracking progress and ensuring daily objectives are achieved
• Lead, coach and develop your team by setting clear priorities, providing regular feedback and driving high standards across the operation
• Promote and embed a Safety First mindset, ensuring all processes are followed correctly and colleagues can work in a safe and secure environment
• Monitor shift performance, identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance productivity, accuracy and service levels
• Contribute to ongoing operational improvement projects, helping to streamline processes and deliver greater efficiency across the site

Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off – 06:00-17:30 or 18:00 - 05:30

• Have strong problem-solving skills, take initiative and can make effective decisions in a busy operational environment
• Are comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and Warehouse Management Systems to support day-to-day operations and reporting
