Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager in Belfast to support the Warehouse and Stock Manager. You will ensure health and safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient shift operations while delivering reliable service to customers on site.

Candidates should have proven warehouse leadership, strong people management skills, and a track record of improving processes within a logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading warehouse operations and shift patterns.
• Ability to drive health and safety, environment and working time compliance.
• Strong leadership in a fast-paced logistics setting.
• Demonstrated financial awareness in budget management.
• Proven track record of improving processes and costs.
• Experience managing agency staff and induction/training programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse resources in line with budget and shift rota requirements.
• Promote clear communication between shifts to ensure operational consistency.
• Ensure induction, training and development of all employees and records.
• Deliver all aspects of the shift operation with a customer-focused approach.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement across processes and safety.
• Ensure compliance with Employment, H&S and environmental regulations.

Shift patterns: Rotational, Week 1 Mon to Fri 6:00 to 15:30, Week 2 Mon to Fri 12:00 to 21:30

what You'll Do

• Manage warehouse resources in line with operational and budgetary requirements including shift rota management
• Responsible for promoting and maintaining effective communication links between shifts to ensure operational consistency
• To ensure the induction, training and development of all employees, including agency and ensuring accurate records are kept
• Accountable for delivery of all aspects of the shift operation, ensuring the delivery of customer-focused service to all customers on site
• Create a culture of continuous improvement in all areas
• Compliance in all areas of legislation: Employment, H&S, environmental

• Minimum 3 years of warehouse management experience
• Proven Track record of successful People Management
• Commercial and Financial understanding
• Ability to manage poor performance in all people related issues
• Project Management skills
