Job summary

Gist Limited is hiring a Warehouse Section Leader in Faversham, ME13 7TW, to lead a shift and support up to 25 Warehouse Operatives. This hands-on role focuses on safe, efficient operation and delivering the daily plan with clear direction and KPI monitoring.

You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Shift Manager, providing coaching, coordinating resources, and supporting onboarding. A strong background in fast-paced logistics and team leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
• Previous team leader, supervisor or similar experience is beneficial.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of operational KPIs and productivity targets.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activity of up to 25 Warehouse Operatives.
• Own a specific operational area and ensure daily plan is delivered safely and efficiently.
• Provide clear direction, feedback and maintain high standards.
• Monitor KPIs and support improvements where needed.
• Coach colleagues and support onboarding and training.
• Coordinate resources and respond to changing volumes.
• Address day-to-day issues and escalate complex problems appropriately.
• Promote health and safety and a compliant working environment.
• Collaborate with other Section Leaders and Shift Managers to deliver a strong shift.
