Job summary

Gist Limited is seeking a Warehouse Section Leader to support the day-to-day running of a busy operation at Portbury. You will report to the Warehouse Shift Manager and help coordinate activity, plan resources and maintain safety and efficiency across the shift.

The role emphasizes hands-on operational leadership with no direct line management but with a key role in guiding colleagues, managing attendance and resolving issues to keep the operation running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse/logistics or fast-paced ops.
• Ability to coordinate activity and support others.
• Strong communication and issue-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily resource planning to ensure the right people are in the right areas to meet operational demand.
• Coordinate warehouse and outbound activity to move products safely, accurately and on time.
• Monitor KPIs and support actions to improve performance.
• Produce and maintain operational reports using systems and MS Office.
• Support sickness, holidays and staff availability across the shift.
• Assist with people-related activity including return-to-work conversations as required.
• Provide clear direction to colleagues and ensure standards are met.
• Support induction and training of new starters.
