Job summary

Kas Metal Trading Ltd in Atherton is seeking a Warehouse & Recycling Operative to join our yard team. You will grade, sort and securely store scrap metal, working Monday to Friday in a full-time role.

You will work with suppliers and the public, operate handling equipment and FLT where trained, keep areas clean, and follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe site. Experience with scrap metal recycling is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• FLT licence (In-house or RTITB) required.
• Reliable attendance record and strong work ethics.
• Health and safety awareness essential.

Location: Atherton

Hours: Full-time

42.5 hours per week Mon – Fri

As a Warehouse & Recycling Operative, you will be involved in the daily operations of the yard, ensuring materials are correctly graded, sorted, and stored safely & efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Grade, sort and process Scrap Metal.
• Dealing with Merchant suppliers and public trade.
• Team Working, ensuring good communication and adhering to instructions
• Operate handling equipment and FLT where trained
• Maintain site housekeeping and ensure working areas are always clean and tidy
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Required Experience

• FLT licence (In-house or RTITB)
• Reliable attendance record, with strong work ethics
• Health & Safety awareness

Desired experience (not essential)

• Experience in scrap metal recycling
• Has knowledge of non-ferrous metals
• Plant machinery operation (Eg: Material handler, Loading Shovel)
