Tennial Personnel are recruiting a reliable Recycling and Labouring Operative for a metal recycling site in Claydon. The role is an ongoing temporary position with a potential to become permanent after 12 weeks, working Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

It requires a practical, hands-on approach and a good attitude toward health and safety. Experience in recycling or labouring is advantageous but not essential; full site training will be provided.

Tennial Personnel are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Recycling and Labouring Operative to join our client's team at an established metal recycling company based in Claydon. This position is offered on an ongoing temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent following 12 successful working weeks, subject to business requirements. The role operates Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The role will involve supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy metal recycling facility, assisting with the sorting, handling and processing of recyclable metal materials. Duties will include general labouring, separating different types of scrap metal, maintaining a clean and organised working environment and supporting the wider team with the movement of materials around the site.

This is a physically demanding, hands‑on position requiring a strong work ethic and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Previous experience in recycling, waste management, construction, industrial labouring or a similar environment would be advantageous, although candidates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn will also be considered.

The successful candidate must be reliable, punctual and safety‑conscious, with the ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. A responsible approach to handling materials, maintaining site cleanliness and following health and safety procedures is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting and separating different types of scrap metal and recyclable materials.

• Identifying and reporting hazardous materials, damaged equipment or potential safety concerns.
• Following all company health and safety procedures and wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure daily workloads are completed efficiently.
• Undertaking manual handling and other physically demanding tasks throughout the working day.
• Supporting the wider team with additional duties as required.
