Job summary

A leading logistics company in Tees Valley is looking for a Warehouse Operative/Counterbalance & Reach FLT driver. In this role, you will pick, load, unload, and organize stock while safely operating forklift trucks. Candidates must have valid forklift licenses and previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment. The position requires good attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and teamwork skills. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00 with a starting pay rate of £12.50 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Valid Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Truck licences (in-date and accredited).
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

The Best Connection are seeking to recruit a Warehouse Operative/Counterbalance & Reach FLT driver who will play a key role in the efficient day-to-day running of the depot. You will be responsible for picking, loading, unloading, and organising stock, as well as operating Reach and Counterbalance forklift trucks safely and effectively. This role requires good attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety.

The role
  • Accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders
  • Load and unload vehicles using Reach and Counterbalance FLTs
  • Move, replenish, and organise stock within the warehouse
  • Complete goods‑in and goods‑out tasks
  • Carry out stock checks and report any discrepancies
  • Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with health & safety standards
  • Follow all company procedures and documentation requirements
  • Work as part of the team to meet daily operational targets
  • Support general warehouse duties as required
The candidate
  • Valid Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Truck licences (in‑date and accredited)
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Good numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Physically able to carry out manual handling tasks
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team
  • Willingness to support other areas of the warehouse when needed
Hours of work
  • Monday to Friday 08:30am – 17:00pm
