Job summary

UK AAG Ferraris Piston Service Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Operative for outbound shipping lanes. The role involves a fast-paced environment with lifting up to 25kg and extended standing/walking, with a 1430–2300 shift from Monday to Friday.

You will handle picking, packing, loading, and stock checks while ensuring accuracy and safety. Training is provided for forklifts/pallet trucks and you will join a collaborative team focused on meeting daily operational targets.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 25kg.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and check incoming goods for quality and quantity.
• Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided).
• Carry out stock checks and maintain inventory records.
• Maintain clean and safe working area according to health and safety policies.
• Assist with loading/unloading deliveries and meet daily targets.
• Report discrepancies, damages or safety issues to management.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.

Warehouse Operative (Outbound / Shipping Lanes)

This is a fast-paced dynamic warehouse environment and involves physically demanding tasks including lifting (up to 25kg) and standing / walking for extended periods of time (up to 7.5 hours depending on shift). The shipping lanes / outbound is a very demanding area of the business. Shift: 1430 - 2300 Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with company procedures
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if required)
• Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly to management
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety

Essential Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order processing
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends if required
• Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks
