Job summary

Alliance Automotive Logistics is recruiting a Warehouse Operative for our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham. You will be responsible for receiving, storing and dispatching goods, while maintaining a safe, accurate and efficient warehouse environment.

The role involves physical tasks including lifting up to 20kg and standing/walking for extended periods, with shifts on weekends. Training will be provided for equipment operation and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 20kg, standing and walking for extended periods.
• Good communication and ability to work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.
• Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with procedures.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (pallet trucks/forklifts) with training provided.
• Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain inventory records.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with loading/unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors to meet daily targets.
• Report discrepancies, damages or safety issues promptly.

Shift: 0930 - 1800, Saturday & Sunday

As a Warehouse Operative at our National Distribution Centre in Rotherham, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment while delivering high standards of accuracy and productivity. This is a fast-paced dynamic warehouse environment and involves physically demanding tasks including lifting (up to 20kg) and standing / walking for extended periods of time (up to 7.5 hours depending on shift).

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order processing
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends if required
• Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks
