Job summary

CMS Distribution in Castleford is seeking motivated warehouse operatives to join a busy team across picking, packing, goods in/out and stock control.

You will work on various shift patterns, gain training and progression into specialist FLT roles, with a supportive environment and commitment to development.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Accurately picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Processing and labelling shipments using courier and warehouse systems.
• Supporting Goods In and Goods Out operations.
• Carrying out stock counts and inventory checks.
• Maintaining tidy, organised and safe warehouse areas.
• Following warehouse procedures and quality standards.
• Operating FLT Reach Truck and/or VNA equipment where qualified.
• Upholding health, safety and security standards.

About the Role

We're seeking motivated, reliable and hardworking individuals to join our Warehouse team. Opportunities are available across Pick & Pack, Labelling, Goods In, Goods Out, Inventory Control and FLT operations.

You'll play a vital role in ensuring customer orders are received, processed, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Working alongside a supportive team, you'll help maintain high operational standards while contributing to a safe and productive warehouse environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Accurately picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch
• Processing and labelling shipments using courier and warehouse systems
• Supporting Goods In and Goods Out operations
• Carrying out stock counts and inventory checks

• Following warehouse procedures and quality standards
• Operating FLT Reach Truck or VNA equipment (where qualified)
• Ensuring health, safety and security standards are upheld at all times

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Is reliable and able to meet deadlines
• Has good verbal and written communication skills in English

It would be great if you have:

• Previous warehouse experience within Pick & Pack, Goods In, Goods Out or Dispatch
• FLT Reach Truck and/or VNA licences
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
