Job summary

Gap Personnel is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative on the night shift in Swindon. You will receive, unload and pick products using RF scanners, preparing orders for despatch.

The ideal candidate has warehouse experience, is physically fit, and can work safely under Health & Safety regulations. This temporary ongoing role offers consistent night shifts Sunday to Thursday, 10pm–6am, with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is essential.
• Ability to follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Experience using RF scanners and pick sheets beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and pick products using pick sheets and RFU scanner.
• Operate low level order picker and RF scanner for despatch readiness.
• Work accurately and safely, following Health & Safety procedures.
• Meet tight deadlines.
• Spot quality issues and report to Supervisor.
• Stock replenishment and put-away.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative Night shift

Location: Swindon, SN3

Pay Rate: £14.91 and after 12 weeks £15.26

Shifts: Sunday - Thursday , 10pm - 6am

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Gap personnel are proud to be working together with a largest global manufacturer of Lead-Acid and Lithium-ion batteries based in Swindon, who are currently looking for multiple Warehouse Operatives to support busy Manufacturing company, on Night shift.

Job Duties:

• Receive, unload and pick products to a high standard using both pick sheets and an RFU scanner.
• Operating low level order picker & RF scanner you will be picking products ready for despatch
• Ability to work accurately and safely, maintaining to Health and Safety procedures and regulations
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Ability to spot quality issues and able to confidently report issues to a Team Lead/Supervisor
• Manual handling
• Stock replenishment
• Stock put away

Ideal candidate will have:

• Enthusiastic work ethic with a willingness to improve and make a difference.
• Previous warehouse experience is a MUST
• Good knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside the box.
  • Ability to go the extra mile and be flexible with working hours when needed.
  • Ability to follow & fully understand instructions and be able to clearly explain requirements to others.
  • Good team skills to be able to work with others and lead from the front.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Be physically fit

Due to nature of the business, Health and Safety induction and walkaround will be held on site. Prior maths test to be completed by the candidate, and sent back to agency representative for positive verification. All interviews will be held on site too.
