Job summary

DPD Group UK in Wolverhampton is seeking a warehouse operative to join our busy team for 30 hours per week, 15:00–21:00, Monday to Friday. You will be on your feet most of the shift and play a key role in ensuring parcels are scanned, sorted and delivered on time.

You'll receive full training from day one and will be provided with uniform and PPE. The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and safe operation of equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 25 kg and stay on your feet for the shift.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Reliable and punctual with good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, scan and sort parcels with accuracy.
• Handle items up to 25 kg.
• Use warehouse tech to route parcels correctly.
• Operate scanners, conveyors and handling equipment safely.
• Maintain high health, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Report discrepancies and issues to supervisor promptly.

Contract Type: Permanent - 30 Hours Per Week

Days of Work: Monday - Friday Keep your weekends for yourself!

Hours of Work: 15:00 to 21:00.

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
