Job summary

DPD in the United Kingdom is seeking a warehouse operative for permanent 30-hour weeks, with shifts from 15:00 to 21:00 and five days of work. You will be on your feet, loading, scanning and sorting parcels, using our tech to ensure each item goes to the right place on time.

This fast-paced role requires teamwork, reliability, and a can-do attitude. Full training, uniform, and PPE are provided to get you started and keep you safe on the job.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload, scan, and sort parcels with accuracy.
• Handle items up to 25 kg.
• Use technology systems to route parcels correctly.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Maintain health, safety, and housekeeping standards.
• Conduct quality checks and report discrepancies.
• Collaborate with teammates to hit daily targets.
• Maintain attendance and reliability during shifts.

Job description

Contract Type: Permanent - 30 hours

Days of Work: 5 days a week.

Hours of Work: 15:00 - 21:00

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
