Job summary

DPD in Wolverhampton is hiring a warehouse operative for the evening shift. Permanent, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 15:00 to 21:00, with weekends reserved. You will be on your feet, loading/unloading, scanning and sorting parcels, and using our systems to route items accurately.

We provide full training from day one and provide uniform and PPE. The role requires reliability, a strong work ethic, and teamwork to hit daily targets and maintain safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg
• Using technology systems to route parcels correctly
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyors and handling gear
• Maintaining health, safety and housekeeping standards
• Performing quality checks and reporting discrepancies or damage to a supervisor
• Working with the team to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and reliability

• Contract Type: Permanent – 30 Hours Per Week
• Days of Work: Monday - Friday Keep your weekends for yourself!
• Hours of Work: 15:00 to 21:00.

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
