Job summary

GXO Northampton is recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join our recycling centre team at our Northampton site. This full-time, permanent role operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 06:00 to 18:00 and involves loading/unloading trays, operating the wash process and keeping work areas clean.

The role supports the efficient operation of recycling activities for a major retailer. We offer an hourly rate, 22 days holiday, pension and access to benefits and training resources to help you develop

• MHE licence beneficial but not essential.
• Can-do attitude with a willingness to learn something new.
• Willing to work in an environment with lots of repetitive work.

Responsibilities

• Load empty trays and buckets onto the wash machine ready for cleaning.
• Unload clean trays from the wash machine, stack away and wrap ready for collection.
• Ensure a hazard-free zone by guaranteeing that all work areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Other warehouse duties depending on operations needs.

Here at GXO Northampton we are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our team. Working at our equipment management site, where it’s all about recycling & reuse, for one of the largest supermarket retailers in the UK. You’ll play a key role in a busy recycling centre, handling cardboard, plastic, and food waste, as well as supporting the efficient operation of the tray wash process.

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, covering the hours of 06:00 - 18:00.
