Job summary

GXO Sittingbourne is hiring a Warehouse Operative to join our equipment management network supporting recycling for a major grocer. This full-time role operates on an 'any 5 days out of 7' pattern with morning or late shifts and an hourly rate of £12.71.

Training is provided, and there are opportunities to develop within a fast-paced environment. You will safely load/unload vehicles, bale cardboard and plastic, keep work areas clean, and perform additional duties as directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, repetitive environment.
• Ability to work safely and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and safely load and unload vehicles with customer equipment and waste.
• Safely bale cardboard and plastic waste.
• Keep all work areas clean and hazard-free.
• Undertake other duties as designated by the line manager.

This warehouse supports the cardboard and plastic recycling process for one of the leading grocery supermarkets, Morrison.The site is a fast paced, diverse environment with plenty of development opportunities available.

You will be working on afull-time, permanent basis,on an ‘any 5 days out of 7’pattern.

Morning - 06:00 - 14:00

Lates - 14:00 - 22:00

What you will do on a typical day:

• Accurately and safely load and unload vehicles with all customer equipment and waste arriving at the site
• Safely and efficiently bale cardboard and plastic waste
• Ensure a hazard-free zone by guaranteeing that all work areas are kept clean and tidy
• Undertake any other duties commensurate with the position as designated by the line manager
