Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join the team at Finningley (DN9 3XA). You will support receiving, storing, packing and dispatching goods safely and efficiently within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Shifts are 06:00-14:30, 08:00-16:30 and 10:30-19:00. Salary is £31,156.08 per year (includes shift allowance) plus a call-out payment; benefits include pension, dental plans and more.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence required; training available.
• Role requires ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Adhere to GXO health and safety policy.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and check against delivery notes.
• Inspect products for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Record/book stock into warehouse systems using WMS.
• Carry out stock checks and cycle counts, reporting shortages or variances.
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete dispatch documentation accurately and ensure shipments meet requirements.

Here at GXO we are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join the team based at Finningley (DN9 3XA ) site.

You will be supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse by receiving, storing, packing and dispatching goods accurately and safely.

You will be be required to work on 3 alternating shifts of the following:

• 06:00-14:30
• 08:00-16:30
• 10:30-19:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Receive deliveries and check goods against delivery notes
• Inspect products for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly
• Accurately record / book stock into warehouse systems using WMS
• Carry out stock check and cycle counts as required, reporting shortages, damage or variances
• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
• Complete dispatch documentation accurately
• Ensure all shipments meet customer and company requirements

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Forklift Truck licence (counterbalance or Reach preferred, but not essential as full training can be given
• This role will be subject to Security Clearance
• Ability to work on own initiative within a faced paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures
• To adhere to GXO health and Safety policy
