Job summary

GXO Daventry is recruiting Warehouse Operatives for a brand-new M&S site. You will be involved in all aspects of warehouse operations from receiving to dispatch, on a full-time permanent basis with an ‘any 5 days from 7’ shift pattern, across 06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00.

You’ll earn £15.36 per hour, with an additional 12% shift premium on the fixed PM shift. Benefits include 28 days annual leave, dental plans, a company pension, GP service access, an employee assistance programme and GXO

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, operational/warehouse environment.
• FLT licences are advantageous but training is provided.
• Must be self-motivated, reliable and detail oriented.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support inbound, outbound and stock control activities using the WMS.
• Operate FLTs to move and pick stock safely and accurately.
• Work flexibly to meet daily targets and KPIs in a fast-paced setting.
• Keep the area clean, safe and compliant with SOPs and H&S rules.

Here at GXO Daventry we are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join us at our new M&S site. From receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and dispatching orders you will be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘any 5 days from 7’ pattern, covering the hours of 06:00 to 14:00 (fixed AM shift) or 14:00 to 22:00 (fixed PM shift)

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support inbound, outbound and stock control activities using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including receipting, dispatch and general warehouse operations
• Operate LLOP trucks to move and pick stock safely and accurately, handling products with care and a high level of attention to detail
• Work efficiently and flexibly to meet daily operational targets and KPIs, both independently and as part of a wider team in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area by following all Health & Safety requirements, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures, while proactively reporting hazards and identifying improvement opportunities

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Experience of working in a fast-paced, operational or warehouse environment, with FLT licences an advantage but not essential as full training can be provided
• A self‑motivated and reliable approach, with the ability to work honestly and with integrity at all times
• The ability to work safely and accurately, following processes and SOPs with a strong attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset
• Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude, with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team
