Job summary

Langdons in Barnsley is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work Monday to Friday, 12:30-22:00, performing varied warehouse duties and ensuring accurate packaging and safe handling of goods.

The role offers a highly competitive salary of £29,857.11 per annum plus excellent company benefits, with opportunities for training and career progression in a busy logistics operation.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date licence to use designated mechanical equipment.
• IT literate in Microsoft Office packages.
• The ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data.
• Extensive knowledge and application of warehouse, food safety rules and health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check loads into the warehouse, ensuring all correct packaging and labelling is in place.
• Ensure all stock handled is secure and complies with relevant food safety standards.
• Operate assigned mechanical handling equipment to store and transport customer goods safely.
• Assist with assembling loads for despatch and onto vehicles.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure standards of cleanliness and hygiene levels.
• Take action to ensure any hazards are controlled or removed to ensure a safe working environment.

Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join the team based in Barnsley. The Warehouse Operative role:

This is a fantastic role which will always keep you on the move! Your role will be to undertake allocated Warehouse-related duties in a safe, cost-effective and efficient manner.
