Job summary

Langdons in Luton is recruiting for a Dock Office Administrator on a full-time permanent basis, working Tuesday to Saturday (12:30-22:00). The role supports transport and warehouse teams to ensure deliveries are handled correctly and all records are created and maintained.

You will work in a busy environment with excellent benefits and a competitive annual salary (£32,846.05) plus company perks. Training and progression opportunities are available, with a strong focus on teamwork and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent
• Extensive knowledge and application of health and safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Act as key point of contact for despatch and receipt of customer goods
• Co-ordinate all incoming driver documents and update all relevant electronic and manual records
• Respond to customer queries, ensuring any discrepancies are recorded, investigated and resolved
• Update relevant records and brief colleagues on stock movement progress
• Conduct regular and ad hoc stock checks, escalating any issues to management in a timely manner
• Advise and guide other colleagues where required
• Provide cover for the Customer Service and Transport Teams where required

Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Dock Office Administrator to join the team based in Luton. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working Tuesday to Saturday (12:30-22:00) and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £32,846.05 per annum plus excellent company benefits!

The Dock Office Administrator role:

This is a fantastic role to really get your teeth into! Your role will be to work in partnership with transport and warehouse colleagues to ensure that incoming and outgoing deliveries are handled and stored correctly and that all relevant records are created and maintained.

• IT literate in Microsoft Office packages
• Ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
• Ability to use initiative and be so organised that key tasks are completed fully and on time
• Ability to work to fluid targets and deadlines
• High attention to detail and confident to challenge discrepancies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven arithmetic skills
