Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operative in Lymington, onsite, for a temporary role to support receipt, storage and dispatch while upholding strict safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a warehouse, a valid forklift certificate, and basic IT skills. Rotating weekly hours apply; pay is £13 per hour with potential extension.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year’s experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
• Valid forklift certification (Counterbalance and Reach).
• Understanding of inventory control and stock rotation processes.
• SAP experience or training.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and ERP systems (e.g. PRISM).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to all health and safety rules, procedures, and work instructions.
• Receive, unload, and store incoming raw materials and finished goods.
• Carry out internal stock movements following FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
• Pick, prepare, and stage customer orders accurately and on time.
• Perform visual inspections of trucks, containers, and tankers to prevent product damage.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation for all warehouse activities.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including completing daily forklift checks.
• Report non-conforming products, equipment faults, or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised working environment.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, and other departments.

Warehouse Operative (604174) Lymington, England

Salary: GBP13 - GBP13 per hour

Location: Lymington – Onsite
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Contract: Temporary (initially approx. 6 months, with potential extension and possible conversion)
Hours: Weekly rotating shift pattern

Week 1:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:00pm
Friday: 9:00am–2:00pm

Week 2:
Monday–Thursday: 10:00am–6:00pm
Friday: 11:00am–4:00pm

Role Overview
