Job summary

Longacres Garden Centre in Addlestone is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the busy warehouse and stoneware departments. You will manage deliveries, stock, and customer service while developing a small team in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role involves rota planning, health and safety oversight, and occasional driving for deliveries. A forklift license is desirable, and the site offers a collaborative and supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Forklift license is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing, receiving, and controlling all inbound deliveries with paperwork.
• Optimising storage and goods handling across the site.
• Retail management of garden-related categories within the warehouse.
• Assisting customers and delivering high standards of service.
• Developing the team through HR processes including training and reviews.
• Organising and supporting staff and departmental colleagues as needed.
• Producing staff rotas to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Ensuring health and safety compliance in all warehouse areas.
• Managing outbound deliveries and route planning, including some driving.
• Overseeing stock transfers and regular warehouse inventories.
• Collaborating with trading departments and maintaining equipment safety.
