Job summary

Longacres Garden Centre is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Shepperton warehouse. You will lead a friendly team, oversee deliveries, storage, and order picking, and coordinate inter-store transfers and transport planning.

The role requires prior supervisory and logistics experience, with a focus on maintaining safety, morale, and efficient warehouse operations within a family-run retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory roles and ability to lead a team and maintain morale.
• Previous logistic experience.
• Willingness to develop and learn.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing all deliveries and report any discrepancies.
• Stowing and storing all deliveries safely and optimising the available storage space.
• Picking orders for customer deliveries and collections.
• Organise inter-store transfers.
• Performing Warehouse Inventory controls where required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Overseeing the compost and stoneware departments.
• Ensuring all areas within the warehouse, compost, and stoneware departments are safe.
• Produce staff rosters for the Warehouse, Transport, and Internet departments so that departments are appropriately covered.
• Organising and managing the transport team.
• Ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all machinery, making sure they are all within legal regulations.
• Communicate with and support all trading departments.
• Manage and aid the Transport Department plan their routes.
• To assist in other areas of the Garden Centre as required
