Longacres Garden Centre is hiring a part-time Warehouse Assistant at our Bagshot store. You will work with colleagues to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and on time, supporting smooth warehouse operations.

Ideal candidates have some warehouse experience; forklift awareness is advantageous. The role includes stock replenishment and collaboration across departments in a welcoming team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is required.
• Forklift license/experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and processing deliveries and reporting discrepancies.
• Stowing and storing deliveries to optimise storage space.
• Picking orders for deliveries and store transfers.
• Performing inventory controls as required.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Supporting all Trading departments.

We are currently seeking a part-time Warehouse Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with your colleagues to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and on time, contributing to the smooth operation of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Receiving and processing all deliveries and report any discrepancies.
• Stowing and storing all deliveries safely and optimising the available storage space.
• Picking orders for deliveries and store transfers.
• Performing Warehouse Inventory controls where required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Communicate with and support all Trading depts.
• Safely operate and maintain all warehouse vehicles and equipment.
• Stock replenishment of Compost, Salt and Fuels.
• To assist in other areas of the Garden Centre as required

Key Skills and Competencies

• You are enthusiastic and approachable
• You are willing to develop and learn
• Previous warehouse experience
• Forklift license is desirable but not essential
