ABM Facility Services UK is hiring a full-time Cleaning/Waste Operative in the Wakefield area. The role involves janitorial and waste removal duties in a factory/warehouse setting, requiring physical fitness and the ability to work as part of a team.

Training on methods and equipment will be provided, with a 4-On/4-Off shift pattern and 38.5 hours per week. The position emphasizes health and safety compliance, DBS checks, and readiness for random drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out janitorial and waste removal duties in a warehouse environment.
• Provide high standard cleaning in welfare areas, receptions, offices, and production floors.
• Handle waste via approved streams and prepare for transportation.
• Operate walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers; keep equipment clean and safe.
• Respond to spillages and client callouts; communicate with team and manager.
• Wear PPE and comply with health and safety policies.
• Train on cleaning methods and equipment; work on own initiative or in a team.
