ABM Facility Services UK are recruiting Cleaning/Waste Operatives on a full-time permanent basis for a high-profile client in Wakefield. You will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment providing janitorial and waste removal services.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory response from Disclosure Board at a basic level and knowledge of health and safety requirements or a willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods or a willingness to learn.
• High attention to detail
• An ability to work under pressure
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• An ability to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment
• A reliable and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out janitorial and waste removal duties in a warehouse environment.
• Provide a high standard of cleaning in welfare areas such as washrooms, break rooms and canteen, and in offices and production areas.
• Handle waste generated on site and ensure it is ready for transportation.
• Operate walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubber-dryers and maintain equipment in a safe condition.
• Respond to spillages and client callouts on site.
• Communicate effectively with the team and line manager.
• Wear PPE and comply with health & safety policies.
• Work independently or as part of a team and adapt to a busy environment.
• Receive full training on cleaning methods and equipment.
