Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Ward Sister / Charge Nurse to join the ward nursing team at North Downs Hospital. You will be expected to help lead the team, support junior members, and coordinate the ward. You will be an integral part of a team committed to delivering high quality clinical outcomes in a supported environment, where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. The successful candidate will support the Ward Manager and team in ensuring that safe, effective and high quality clinical care is delivered to all patients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ward nursing team and support junior staff.
• Coordinate ward activities to ensure smooth operation and high standards of care.
• Support the Ward Manager in delivering safe, effective, high quality clinical care to all patients.
• Be part of the On-Call rota providing support for ward out of hours.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration
• An ability to deliver high standards of patient care
• Mentorship qualification desirable
• Previous Clinical Supervisory and Mentorship experience
• Enthusiastic and empathetic character promoting a positive attitude at work
• Experience with EPR (Electronic Patient Records) system
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs
• Good working knowledge and compliance with CQC Standards / KLOEs and NICE guidance
