Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Ward Manager's Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative services to the clinical matron, optimise their time, and support the ward's efficient operation at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.

The role involves coordinating all diary commitments, developing specialist knowledge of the team/service, handling confidential matters, and providing a comprehensive secretarial service to maximise managerial time for clinical duties.

Qualifications

• Level 4 NVQ or equivalent.
• Senior administration training or relevant experience.
• Recognised computer literacy course (e.g. ECDL) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for relevant staff to enable efficient ward running, including roster and staff support, organisation of staff training and audit input.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel and maintain a professional telephone manner.
