Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Practice Facilitator to support education and development of Healthcare Support Workers across ASCR wards. The role focuses on one-to-one guidance, practice-based assessment, and coordinating orientation programmes to build a skilled, confident workforce.

You will work with clinical teams to ensure safe, compassionate patient care and contribute to ongoing staff development and competency reviews.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent in physiological measurements, wound care, ANTT, catheter care, ECG, blood glucose measurement, venepuncture.
• Able to assess clinical skills and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support education, training and development of Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) across ASCR wards.
• Provide one-to-one support, guidance and practice-based assessment.
• Coordinate and deliver HCSW orientation programmes, study days and learning activities.
• Monitor progress through regular reviews and competency assessments.
• Work with clinical teams to promote high standards of patient care.
