Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Norwich seeks a Clinical Facilitator to split duties between delivering expert clinical care in Adult Critical Care and leading education, training, and workforce development across the service.

The postholder will embed education within clinical practice, develop competencies, and promote continuous professional development while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Direct clinical care up to 50% of contracted hours in Adult Critical Care.
• Lead education, training, and workforce development for 50% of contracted hours.
• Support induction, preceptorship and competency programmes for staff.
• Promote compliance with mandatory training and national critical care requirements.
• Encourage evidence-based practice, patient safety, and continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care in Adult Critical Care for half of weekly hours.
• Coordinate education, training, competency assessments, and workforce development.
• Foster induction and preceptorship for nurses and support staff.
• Promote GPICS-aligned workforce development and patient care standards.
• Act as clinical role model, mentor, and coach for staff development.
