Waking Nights Support Worker

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Real Life Options has opened a new Supported Living service in Swadlincote to support individuals with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. We offer personalized support packages to promote independence, enabling individuals to live fulfilling lives in their own homes. The purpose-built accommodation consists of individual apartments.

The service includes 14 apartments for individuals with mild learning disabilities and 4 apartments for those with higher complex needs.

The role

You will support individuals in their homes to live as independently as possible. Responsibilities include following daily plans, assisting with financial management, domestic tasks, medication administration, and potentially personal care and meal preparation. You will also support maintaining relationships and fostering new friendships.

A key part of the role is encouraging participation in community activities to promote social inclusion. You will seek opportunities for personal growth, such as volunteering or further education.

Shift patterns typically include:

  • 9pm to 7am and 10pm to 8am (Waking Nights)

Full-time and part-time positions are available. An Enhanced DBS check is required.
