Job description

Support Worker

£12.21 per hour

Full Time, Part Time, and Relief Hours Available

Real Life Options is opening a new Supported Living service in Ilkeston to provide support to people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. We are ideally looking for candidates with relevant experience.

We offer individualized support packages and promote independence to help people live fulfilling lives within their own homes. The accommodation is purpose-built, consisting of individual apartments and bungalows.

The service includes 12 apartments for individuals with mild learning disabilities, 4 bungalows for those with higher complex needs, and 4 bungalows for people displaying behaviors of concern.

The Role

You will support individuals in their own homes to live as independently as possible. Responsibilities include following daily plans, assisting with financial management, domestic tasks, medication administration, personal care, meal planning, maintaining relationships, and helping to find new friendships.

A key aspect of the role is encouraging participation in community activities to promote social inclusion and exploring opportunities for growth and development, such as volunteering or further education.

Shift Patterns

  • 7am to 2pm
  • 3pm to 10pm
  • 9pm to 7am (Waking Nights)
  • 10pm to 8am (Waking Nights)

You will work on a rota, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays, with planned time off. Flexibility to cover any shift pattern over a 7-day period is essential.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
