Job summary

Alcedo Care Limited is seeking a Female Complex Care Assistant – Waking Nights to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a child in their own home in Blackpool, Lancashire. This awake night role offers a guaranteed 36 hours per week and a clear path to develop specialist clinical skills with nurse-led training.

The position includes pension, holiday pay, paid specialist training and opportunities for progression within our Rising Stars programme.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' hands-on care experience in a UK care setting or supporting a family member.
• Ability to remain awake, attentive and responsive throughout a waking night shift.
• Strong observation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 care throughout the night while awake.
• Monitor client safely and respond to needs.
• Support PEG feeding, hydration and nutrition.
• Ventilator monitoring and respiratory support throughout the night.
• Complete clinical observations and escalation as required.
• Maintain accurate care records and handovers.
• Promote dignity, safety and wellbeing at all times.
