Job summary

Alcedo Care Blackpool is seeking a Children's Complex Care Assistant to support a young person in their family home and local community in Garstang. The role is a 2:1 care package with immediate interviews and specialist training provided.

Excellent pay per hour with pension and holiday pay. You'll need prior UK care experience and the ability to follow risk assessments and behaviour-support plans while travelling reliably to Garstang.

Qualifications

• At least three months’ care experience in a UK care setting or via supporting a family member.
• Experience supporting children, young people or adults with behaviours that may present risk.
• Able to follow risk assessments, behaviour-support plans and safety procedures.
• Comfortable working as part of a consistent two-person care team.
• Willing to complete child-specific and behaviour-support training.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe 2:1 support within the family home.
• Support activities in the local community and walks/outdoor activities.
• Plan structured, engaging, sensory-based activities.
• Support emotional regulation and reduce distress.
• Follow behaviour-support plans and risk assessments.
