Job summary

CareTech is seeking a compassionate Waking Night Support Worker for Westbrook House in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, delivering person-centred care and assisting with daily living tasks while maintaining records and promoting independence.

No prior experience required—full training and a structured induction are provided. The role includes a rota with evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins, with free

Qualifications

Must have a caring, patient and respectful approach.
Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).
Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota.

Responsibilities

Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Support activities, appointments, and community access.
Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.
