Job summary

Discovery in Taunton is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker (Female) for a full-time night shift from 10pm to 7am at Eliot Court. You will help keep residents safe, comfortable, and supported while promoting wellbeing and dignity through attentive care, accurate record-keeping, and compassionate interaction.

The role emphasises independence within a team and a commitment to respectful, person-centred care in a residential setting.

• Carrying out regular keeping safe checks to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
• Recording important information using our IT systems – from support plans to health and safety logs.
• Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
• Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
• Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.
