Job summary

Dimensions Somerset Sev Limited in Taunton is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker (female location) to support eight residents overnight, from 10pm to 7am. This permanent full-time role includes night-time reassurance, recording care plans, and maintaining a safe, calm environment.

You will provide personal care when needed, follow support plans, and work with a friendly team. The role offers shifts, overtime uplift, 30 days leave, DBS paid, and development opportunities.

About the role

As a Waking Night Support Worker at Eliot Court, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the eight people who live here feel safe, comfortable and well supported throughout the night. While the home settles down in the evening, your support helps provide reassurance, promotes wellbeing, and ensures any overnight needs are responded to promptly and sensitively.

Your role will include:

• Carrying out regular "keeping safe checks" to ensure everyone feels secure and comfortable.
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic space so that the environment is welcoming and safe.
• Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems - from support plans to health and safety logs - so we can provide the best care possible.
• Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
• Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
• Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.

Shifts: 10pm - 7am
