Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker for Cassio Metro, Watford. The role is fixed term until 31 March 2027 and involves 20 hours per week. Starting salary £26,427 progressing to £29,071 per annum, pro rata for part time.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting people with learning and mental health issues.
• NVQ/QCF level 2 or equivalent or willingness to work towards RQF level 2.
• Ability to reflect and build professional relationships with people we support and carers.
• Confident with using a computer to record information and update plans.

Responsibilities

• Support people in their own homes to maximise independence.
• Provide personal care, moving and handling, and administer medications as needed.
• Develop or contribute to support plans, risk assessments and guidelines.
• Lead and coordinate shifts and assist with daily household tasks.
• Support attendance at health appointments and improve service quality.
