Hft is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to provide person-centred, overnight care for adults with learning disabilities, ensuring safety, dignity and independence. You will support with routines, monitor wellbeing and respond calmly to any needs to promote a calm night-time environment.

Night shifts, weekends and sleep-ins may be required, with teamwork across day and night teams to ensure seamless, compassionate support and continuity of care for residents.

Qualifications

• Patience, supportiveness and respect for people’s choices.
• Strong communication to build trusting relationships.
• Willingness to learn and work towards a Health and Social Care qualification.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, waking and sleep-in shifts.

Responsabilités

• Provide safe, attentive, and person-centred support throughout the night, ensuring comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Respond calmly and proactively to needs, offering reassurance and personal care when required.
• Carry out night-time routines with kindness and respect, helping people feel secure and valued.
• Monitor and record wellbeing, follow care plans and report concerns to the daytime team.
