Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council is recruiting a Waking Night Support Worker in Watford to assist adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs in Cassio Metro. The role involves night shifts, personal care, medication support, and coordinating with the team to maintain wellbeing.

You will work in residents' homes, following support plans and risk assessments, with training and supervision provided. The position offers progression and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with learning and mental health needs.
• NVQ/QCF level 2 or equivalent, or willing to work towards RQF level 2.
• Ability to reflect on practice and build professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Support people in their own homes per support plans to maximise independence.
• Assist with personal care, moving and handling, and health needs as required.
• Administer medications when needed and record it accurately.
• Manage finances in line with support plans and policy.
• Lead and coordinate shifts and participate in PMDS processes.
• Assist with daily household tasks and accompany health appointments.
• Contribute to improving the quality of service for the people supported.
