Job summary

Paragon Social Care Limited is opening a brand-new two-bed children’s home near Spalding and recruiting a Waking Night Residential Support Worker. The role focuses on keeping the home calm, safe and well-supported overnight for up to two young people with complex needs.

The position offers a £29,160 salary with a £2,000 joining bonus and an average of 35 hours per week in waking night shifts. Ongoing training and development opportunities are provided to support progression within residential

Qualifications

• Previous experience in children’s residential care is desirable, particularly with young people who have EBD, SEMH, trauma or complex needs.
• A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare would be advantageous, training and development can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Remain awake and available throughout the night to keep the home safe.
• Support young people who wake or need reassurance and respond calmly to emotional or behavioural difficulties.
• Promote a safe and settled nighttime environment and complete checks per care plans and risk assessments.
• Maintain accurate records and handovers and support safeguarding within the home.
• Prepare the home for the morning and work with day staff and management.
