Job summary

Elm House, part of Keys Group, in Stoke-on-Trent, is seeking a Waking Night Support Worker to ensure the safety and comfort of adults with learning disabilities and autism.

You will patrol overnight, assist with night-time routines, respond to emergencies, maintain a calm environment, and help with light domestic tasks. Full training, coaching and development are provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the individuals during the night to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Providing support when needed, including assisting with night-time care routines.
• Responding to emergencies or incidents that may arise during the night.
• Maintaining a calm and secure environment, helping to create a peaceful atmosphere for the individuals.
• Assisting with light domestic tasks as required, such as tidying and cleaning communal areas.
• Recording incidents or changes in the individuals' condition and ensuring accurate documentation is kept.
• Working independently throughout the night, maintaining vigilance and attention to detail.

Just a 20 to 25‑minute walk from the St Neots train station, individuals can explore nearby destinations such as Peterborough, Huntingdon, Sandy, and even London. The town’s bus station, a 15‑minute walk away, provides additional transportation options to Cambridge, Bedford, Huntingdon, and Milton Keynes. Within walking distance, individuals can immerse themselves in the vibrant town centre, which boasts an array of shops, supermarkets, and leisure facilities.

Wake Night Support Worker

Your responsibilities will include:

This role requires a calm, reliable, and responsible individual who can work effectively overnight to provide high-quality care and support.

Experience within the care sector is not needed as we offer full training, coaching and development
