Job summary

NHS Scotland is recruiting to support the management of waiting lists, theatre activity and related matters within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department. The postholder will be based at Ninewells hospital and will cross cover for others in the team.

You should have experience in a healthcare waiting lists context, with strong communication and organisational skills. Proficiency in Excel and Word is essential, and knowledge of Trakcare/Both waiting list systems would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a team with understanding of waiting lists, ideally in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge of NHS Tayside Access Policy and Waiting Times Guidance and experience of Trakcare booking and managing waiting lists would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of waiting lists and theatre activity within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department.
• Cross cover for others within the team.
• Communicate in a professional manner with patients, their families and hospital staff.
• Work in a pressurised, fast-paced environment and be adaptable.
