Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland seeks a capable administrator to support waiting lists and theatre activity in the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. The role covers cross-cover within the team and requires professional communication with patients and staff.

Applicants should have experience with waiting lists in healthcare, and strong skills in Excel and Word. Knowledge of TrakCare would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• You should have proven experience in a team with waiting lists, ideally in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills are essential.
• Flexible and able to work on your own or as part of a team; NHS policy knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the management of waiting lists and theatre activity in Trauma and Orthopaedic Department.
• Cross cover for others within the team as required.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families and hospital staff; use Excel and Word daily.
