Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Waiter / Waitress to work in a collaborative and professional catering team that provides a 5-star service to clients, guests, and staff at Arbuthnot Latham & Co's (Private and Commercial Bank) new high-end offices on Finsbury Circus. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the team, working closely together to set up and serve tea and coffee meetings, fine dining lunches, dinners, and canapé events.

The hours for this role are 10.30 - 18.30, with approximately 3-4 evening events per month where the successful candidate can earn overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chefs and Reception with the running of the catering department.
• Report to the Head Chef and work closely with the Head Waitress to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
• Set up rooms for various events including breakfasts, meetings, lunches, dinners, and canapé events.
• Provide silver service for lunches, dinners, and canapé events.
• Check stock levels of consumables and supplies, and place orders as needed.
• Coordinate with the Head Chef for linen and other event preparations during the Head Waitress's absence.
• Manage laundry collections and report issues to the Head Chef.
• Attend daily meetings with the Front of House team and communicate updates to Reception.
• Note dietary requirements and communicate them effectively to the team.
• Communicate room changes clearly to team members.
• Maintain cleanliness of service kitchens and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure team compliance.
• Assist with stocking staff kitchenettes during the Kitchen Porter's absence.
• Support the team in delivering a 5-star service at all times.

Risk Management:

Responsible for managing role-specific risks by following internal policies and procedures.

• Previous hospitality experience is essential.
