Job summary

Arcade Covent Garden is seeking an enthusiastic Waiter to join our front-line team in a buzzing, globally inspired dining environment. You will deliver memorable guest experiences, take orders, serve food and drinks, and collaborate closely with the kitchen and bar teams.

With a minimum of two years in a high-volume London restaurant, you bring calm confidence, strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and a warm, approachable manner that connects with guests and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of waiter experience in a high-volume London restaurant.
• Experience in high-volume dining environments.
• Passion for food, service and guest experiences.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
• Calm, confident, and able to multitask under pressure.
• Warm, approachable demeanour connecting with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant.
• Assist with development of junior staff.
• Communicate confidently and professionally with guests.
• Deliver a consistent and high-standard service.
• Take orders, serve food and drinks, and make menu recommendations.
• Keep operations running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams.

As an experienced Waiter at Arcade Covent Garden, you love delivering top-notch guest experiences and have a knack for making every service unforgettable. The successful candidate in this role will:

• Be in charge of opening and closing the restaurant
• Assist with the development of junior staff members
• Communicate with guests in a confidently and professionally
• Be responsible for delivering a consistent and high standard service
• Be in your element delivering top-tier hospitality with a positive vibe and great smile
• Take orders, serve food and drinks, and make menu recommendations
• Keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams
• Maintain & update cleaning schedules, records and checklists
• Adhere to all relevant Food Safety and Health & Safety practices and procedures
• Get the opportunity to be cross trained across all areas of the restaurant!

We'd love to hear from you if you:

• Bring a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Waiter in a similar high volume restaurant in London
• Have worked in a high volume restaurant environment similar to ours
• Have a passion for food, service and great guest experiences (especially for guest interaction)
• Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Are an excellent team player with a positive attitude
• Are calm, confident and can multitask under pressure
• Bring a warm and approachable demeanour that naturally connects with guests and colleagues
