Job summary

BNY seeks a Vice President, Regulatory & Technical Support to join our UK Trustee & Depositary Services team in Edinburgh. You will oversee regulatory guidance, document reviews, and regular reporting while coordinating with fund managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure compliance.

You will lead analysis of regulatory changes, support client conversations, and participate in governance forums; strong communication and risk awareness are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of collective investment funds regulations including OEICs, AUTs, ACS, UCITS, NURS, QIS, and LTAF.
• Familiarity with FCA authorisations process and regulatory filing requirements.
• Strong risk awareness with solid control-framework understanding.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability and risk consciousness.
• Ability to prioritise across multiple deadlines and manage varying workloads.

Responsibilities

• Review scheme documentation from a depositary and fiduciary perspective to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide high quality regulatory interpretation to fund manager clients, the depositary business and the wider organisation.
• Collate and submit regular regulatory reporting.
• Lead analysis of regulatory change and support operational implementation and client conversations.
• Lead or support client regulatory update sessions and governance meetings.
• Support day-to-day client interactions and reporting for the Client Management Team.
• Represent the regulatory team in governance forums and industry groups.
• Perform Issues/Embeddedness Testing reviews and drive remediation actions to closure.
• Lead trend analysis on issues and develop additional action plans.
