Job summary

Macmillan Cancer Support in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Volunteering Support Manager to lead the operational delivery of the volunteering strategy. You will provide inclusive leadership to a multi-level team and ensure a safe, engaging experience for volunteers and Volunteer Managers.

You will develop and deliver a consistent volunteering support offer, oversee operations and systems, and use data and feedback to identify priorities and drive improvement across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience of leading, motivating and developing teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a complex organisation.
• Experience of managing operational processes, systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent planning and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
• Experience of using data and insight to monitor performance and inform decision-making.
• Understanding of volunteer management or volunteer engagement best practice.
• Knowledge of equality, diversity and inclusion principles and how these can be embedded into volunteering.
• Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience of managing budgets and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.

• Drive the delivery of a high-quality volunteering support service, ensuring volunteers, volunteer managers and stakeholders receive consistent, responsive and effective support.
• Allocate projects to the team which improve volunteering for both volunteers and volunteer managers
