Job summary

Waythrough is seeking an enthusiastic Ambassador & Volunteer Coordinator to join the Northumberland Recovery Partnership. You will develop and manage our volunteer and ambassador programmes across Blyth, Ashington, Hexham and Berwick, leading recruitment, onboarding and ongoing support.

Working with service managers, staff and partners, you’ll expand volunteering opportunities, match volunteers to roles, deliver inductions and training, monitor activity and report outcomes, and promote the value

Qualifications

• Volunteer coordination experience.
• Experience with disadvantaged groups.
• Understanding of addiction and recovery and the value of lived experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience developing volunteering opportunities that improve outcomes for individuals and communities.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, onboarding and supporting volunteers and peer ambassadors.
• Managing volunteer placements and providing ongoing supervision and guidance.
• Developing new volunteering opportunities across the service.
• Delivering inductions, training and development programmes.
• Building strong relationships with local community organisations and partners.
• Matching volunteers to suitable opportunities that benefit both the individual and the service.
• Monitoring volunteer activity and reporting on outcomes and impact.
• Promoting the value of volunteering and lived experience across the service.
• Ensuring all volunteer programmes operate safely and in line with organisational policies and procedures.
